Hope for the Future

Well the first semester is drawing near to the break and we've had a few technical challenges to overcome. I will be doing a bit of work over the Christmas break, trying to improve the workflow of the RFE station. We do have biggish plans for the future of RFE and have been talking about moving it to the North Building into one of the sound suites. This would be much better for broadcasting and would have the effect, we hope, of drawing more students into the possibility of doing a show or two.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, please send me an email at mstephanson@ecuad.ca and we'll compile all the input and look at the possibilities.
So far, we've just had a few installations using the radio, and an ongoing show by Carb Radio, heard on Thursdays from around 4-6 pm. Those guys play great tunes and have a natural, informative, and sometimes comedic sense to their show. You should tune in to check them out, or check out the archives for past shows.
Let's hope 2010 will be a great year, and let's strive to move forward: GET ON THE AIR if you're not already!!! It's fun and gives you experience that's unique and somewhat difficult to get.

Later
Matt
